Prof. Agnes Callard writes a column for The New Yorker asserting that most people do not learn much from their travels, suggesting travel is therefore not good. She, herself is a global elitist, having been born abroad, studied abroad (multiple times), lived abroad (multiple times), and organized conferences abroad, and from her own words and CV, has done much international travel.
