Depending on the nature of your business and your role in the business, global thinking may be important – or not. A strictly local retail, product or service business may have little need for global skills and thinking. Yet a company developing software or products that may be used globally, or sourced from outside the country, may have a much larger need for global skills. Global skills appear to also enhance one’s ability to both see and seek out “big opportunities”.
