I noticed one of the Youtubers I follow had an unexpected international background. I began looking at other Youtubers I follow and near 100% of have extensive international experience. As I have observed, international skills are a defining characteristic of those who achieve success in today’s world, and this is nearly a requirement for professional class workers.

Age discrimination in travel
As I have said repeatedly on this blog TRAVEL INTERNATIONALLY WHEN YOU ARE YOUNG. DO NOT SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR A FUTURE THAT MAY NEVER ARRIVE.
In addition, there are extra hurdles that arise for older travelers – some are, in effect, age discrimination. But there is nothing we can do about it once we have crossed certain age boundaries.

Many online resources discuss “easy countries to move to” – but if you check the fine print, this applies primarily if you are young – usually less than 35 to 55 years old. Above those ages, and the number of countries you can move to is a rapidly diminishing list.
I would like to do an extend stay in another country, somewhat similar in duration to a typical college student’s study abroad of 4 1/2 to 9 months duration. Due to 90-day visa limits in almost all countries, this is near impossible for someone at my age to replicate.
