The past 20 years have seen numerous disruptions to travel, perhaps more than we remember. The lesson learned is we should not postpone anything for a future that may never come.

Age discrimination in travel
As I have said repeatedly on this blog TRAVEL INTERNATIONALLY WHEN YOU ARE YOUNG. DO NOT SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR A FUTURE THAT MAY NEVER ARRIVE.
In addition, there are extra hurdles that arise for older travelers – some are, in effect, age discrimination. But there is nothing we can do about it once we have crossed certain age boundaries.

This is a staggeringly high number – and critically important to modern careers in a globalized world. If you have not traveled, your career opportunities will be limited.
Perhaps more surprising – between 1 in 4 and 1 in 3 American residents have lived abroad, worked abroad or studied abroad. Wow. And the figure may even be higher than that.
