Seems an honest assessment – traveling solo is, for most, a choice, not a requirement. If that is what one prefers to do, then by all means do that!

I have done some domestic trips as a solo traveler – at least once to Yellowstone NP (tent camping, off season), once to Arizona (after severe burnout), once to Southern Utah, and once briefly, after attending a conference. Unfortunately, I became ill with influenza on the first day and had to drive back home.
