EU discontinuing stamping passports

End of an era: The big change coming to European travel in November | CNN

Due to IT changes to support enhanced security measures, the era of having a passport stamped upon entry/exit in EU countries, is ending.

The photo image of a stamped passport is iconic and often used to illustrate travel stories.

For those of us who started travel late in life – we won’t be collecting passport stamps.
