- Portugal ended its residential investment visa program; investments in real estate no longer lead to a residency visa. Instead, investors must make up to a 500,000 Euroe investment in a business.
- Greece has raised the minimum investment to 400,000 or 800,000 Euros, depending on location.
- Spain is in process of ending its residential investment visas program (500,000 euros) over concerns it contributed to the high cost of housing in Spain.
- Dubai/UAE has a minimum 430,000 Euro investment scheme.
- Malta – citizenship by investment, 700,000 Euros. Or a residency visa for 420,000 Euros.
- Isle of Jersey – 1.75 million British pounds, and minimum yearly tax of 250,000 pounds. Limited to about 15 high net worth individuals, per year.
- Costa Rica – $150,000.
