Nearly 900 Million Worldwide Wanted to Migrate in 2021 (gallup.com)
Crazily, the #1 country people wanted to migrate to is the United States, which from the media is the most awful, horrible, disgusting country in the world (seriously, that’s what the media says – see Part 1 and Part 2 of the Myth series in the right column).
Note that 2021 is at the peak of the Covid hysteria and lockdowns and travel restrictions – the percentage figures today might be significantly different.

In 2021, about 15% of those in North America said they wanted to migrate elsewhere. However, from the data we know that most people in the U.S. will not be able to migrate and will not migrate, to other countries. At any point in time, about 2+/-% of American’s live abroad and 20% of those are in the miliary. (Some estimates put the figure up to about 3%. 27% of those who move abroad are in Mexico and about 13% in Canada – that’s 40% of the total. Additionally, up to half of those who move abroad may have had pre-existing dual citizenship, right of descent ancestry or other family connections in the destination country.)
