The Pew Research survey found that 76% of Americans have international travel experience. Only 23% of Americans have not traveled to other countries — and most of these non-travelers said they would like to visit other countries if they had the opportunity.

- 26% of Americans are “globetrotters” who have traveled to five or more other countries.
- 50% of Americans are “casual travelers” who have visited one to four other countries.
- 23% of Americans are “non-travelers” who have not (yet) left the U.S.
