Civil War-type battle re-enactments
I am a big fan of U.S. Civil War battle re-enactments and have created many videos of these, on Youtube. Micro four thirds astro photography
While the big full frame cameras have become popular for low light photography, a South African astronomer who says he’s not much of a photographer, created this gorgeous astrovideo using an Olympus E-P3 micro 4/3ds camera. Smaller frame sensors can, apparently, achieve excellent results in low light.
Wow – Flying over America
A few pieces are computer generated but otherwise just “Wow!”
Correction! The entire video is computer generated. Produced by Yessian Music, an international group of composers and performers, and Studio 78, based in Los Angeles on the CGI. They did another one called Flight of the Dragon which is a similar idea, but over China. Both are used as part of a theme park exhibit in China.
3D video of FIRST Robotics demonstration at Spokane Hoopfest
Hoopfest is the world’s largest 3-on-3 street basketball tournament with over 7,000 teams on over 400 courts covering 42 city blocks. During this year’s event, high school FIRST Robotics team demonstrated their basketball shooting robots. This video was produced by me – in 3D. You need red/cyan or red/green glasses or a 3D monitor to watch in 3D or choose 2D. Use the 3D control in the player to select 3D viewing options.
