In 2025, the country experienced net negative migration for the first time in at least half a century, meaning more people left the country than entered.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">False &#8211; &#8220;a record number of Americans are leaving the United States&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Per The Brookings Institution report, which they never read, the drop is due to NON AMERICANS leaving the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;There was a significant drop-off in <strong><em>entries<\/em><\/strong> to the United States in 2025 relative to 2024 and <strong><em>an increase in enforcement activity leading to removals and voluntary departures<\/em><\/strong>. We estimate that net migration was between \u201310,000 and \u2013295,000 in 2025, the first time in at least half a century it has been negative.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The entire report is about immigrant migration &#8211; this drop is NOT due to Americans leaving the United States, unless you are Salon and non-citizens are defined as &#8220;Americans&#8221; &#8211; which is precisely how they wrote the story. Non-citizens are Americans, in their view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report was written by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/nicole-karlis-888ba125\/\">Nicole Karlis<\/a>. She is a &#8220;senior health and science journalist&#8221; with no formal training in either health or science. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicolemkarlis.com\/about-nicole-karlis-wellness-journalist\">She now lives in Florence, Italy<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Salon magazine defines all immigrants including those in the country illegally, as Americans.
