We do not see higher adoption until age 65+ &#8211; where rates are in the 40-50% range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another way to state this is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>90% of children did not get vaccinated for Covid-19 in 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>83% of adults age 18-49 did not get vaccinated in 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>80% of adults age 50-64 did not get vaccinated in 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Half of adults age 65+ did not get vaccinated in 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several west coast states have formed their own vaccine recommendations group &#8211; these states had poor vaccine adoption in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In Hawaii, 15% of adults were vaccinated for Covid in 2024, and 10% of children received a Covid vaccination. <strong>6% of age 18-49, 17% age 50-64, 34% age 65+<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In WA, just 10% of children 6 months through age 17 obtained a Covid vaccination, and 21.6% of adults obtained a Covid vaccination in 2024. <strong>12% age 18-49, 20% age 50-64, 48% age 65+<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In OR, 10% of children, <strong>13% age 18-49, 21% age 18-49, 48% age 65+<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This information is important to understanding whether new CDC recommendations are meaningful or not meaningful. Now, with regional recommendations &#8211; CDC recommendations &#8211; WHO recommendations &#8211; and other countries recommendations in disagreement with one another, we have the &#8220;dueling expert&#8221; problem.
