Sounds terrible. National news covered this – Chicago, New York, Boston. How terrible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the national media outlets – based in NYC of course – covered this terrible, horrible, no good, we can’t breathe AQIs of 100+. Oh my!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My house yesterday – we hit a peak AQI of 529 at the worst – and conditions will remain this way for days:<\/p>\n\n\n

This is not even news coverage in other parts of my state, let alone a national news story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modern day journalism is pretty much noise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later in the week I posted the above, we woke up to an AQI of 422, as measured by a PurpleAir air monitor (several in our neighborhood). Still no news coverage about this outside our own County.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

In July, the national news reported about smoke from Canada wild fires impacting east coast cities. Why the AQI was over 100! Oh my! In the past few days, the AQI at my town has exceeded 500.
