Can you spot the errors? Most are surprisingly incapable of noticing the problems here.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/coldstreams.com\/social\/wp-content\/uploads\/deaths.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11137\" src=\"https:\/\/coldstreams.com\/social\/wp-content\/uploads\/deaths.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"562\" height=\"295\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coldstreams.com\/social\/wp-content\/uploads\/deaths.jpg 562w, https:\/\/coldstreams.com\/social\/wp-content\/uploads\/deaths-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/coldstreams.com\/social\/wp-content\/uploads\/deaths-514x270.jpg 514w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 562px) 100vw, 562px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It leaves out the Spanish Flu pandemic. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/news\/spanish-flu-deaths-october-1918\">A staggering 195,000 people died just in October of 1918<\/a>\u00a0which is an average of almost 6,300 per day.<\/p>\n<p>It leaves out June 6, 1944 when 4,144 Americans died <a href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/news\/d-day-casualties-deaths-allies\">on a beach in France<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It lies about Gettysburg &#8211; 7,863 troops died. The 3,155 is only counting the Union troops. In fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.infoplease.com\/us\/military\/deadliest-battles-civil-war\">many battles in the US Civil War killed thousands of soldiers in each battle.<\/a>\u00a0In fact, 5 other battles each killed more than 3,155.<\/p>\n<p>The Galveston hurricane killed 6,000 to 12,000 with 8,000 being the commonly used estimate.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"5rphl\" data-offset-key=\"2l4sk-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"2l4sk-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"2l4sk-0-0\">About 8,000 people die every day in the U.S., on average. I suspect there are other dark days in U.S. history as well but its not worth looking them up &#8211; the point is, this table is flawed through censorship and cherry picking.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-offset-key=\"2l4sk-0-0\"><\/div>\n<div data-offset-key=\"2l4sk-0-0\">I suspect there were some high death days during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/event\/1968-flu-pandemic\">1968 flu pandemic<\/a> &#8211; which I lived through. But incredibly, there was little to no news coverage, no daily reports of new cases and deaths, no closed schools or businesses, no face masks.<\/div>\n<div data-offset-key=\"2l4sk-0-0\"><\/div>\n<div data-offset-key=\"2l4sk-0-0\">Keyword Indexing:<\/div>\n<div data-offset-key=\"2l4sk-0-0\">Of the 15 deadliest days in American history, 10 of them have happened within the last two weeks.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This chart is making the rounds on social media.
