Every part of that report is wrong. Oregon has <a href=\"https:\/\/worldpopulationreview.com\/us-counties\/or\/\">36 counties<\/a> &#8211; several of which have no reported cases of Covid-19. 29 counties have reported cases. USA Today apparently assumed all counties in Oregon had cases, and therefore, assumed that there are 29 counties. That&#8217;s crappy journalism.<\/li>\n<li>As of May 14, 2020, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kptv.com\/news\/31-oregon-counties-approved-2-not-approved-for-phase-1-reopening\/article_830068f4-9606-11ea-a22f-efd1f5c1cc4f.html\">31 of the state&#8217;s 36 counties were approved for re-opening<\/a>, not the 26 falsely reported by USA Today. By the June 13th date of USA Today&#8217;s fiction news report, 33 of the state&#8217;s counties had re-opened.<\/li>\n<li>As of June 18th (when their text, below, was updated) <a href=\"https:\/\/govstatus.egov.com\/reopening-oregon#countyStatuses\">33 counties have re-opened, and the remaining 3 were approved for re-opening<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This. Is. Journalism.
