This propaganda campaign, from their perspective, was highly effective event though it was not true. I have seen (and reported to social media platforms) several fake posts from fake accounts being used to incite violence and hatred. Social media is again being used as a force for evil, unfortunately.<\/p>\n<p>There are massive issues with injustice and police brutality, some of which I have written about on <a href=\"https:\/\/coldstreams.com\">my tech blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But the riots and anarchy are occurring in part due to social media messaging. If we did not have social media, its use for coordination and the friction-less spread of misinformation by numerous parties, the current situation would likely be different.<\/p>\n<p>No one is working to solve problems &#8211; only create more problems. Social media is being used to create more discord, more anger, more outrage and to spread more hate.<\/p>\n<p><em>What problem is solved by burning and looting downtown businesses and making more people unemployed?<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Back in 2016, fake social media posts from fake social media accounts were used to incite fear and hysteria, with attempts to start riots. I documented this in detail back in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Today we again have fake social media posts being used to incite violence, looting, arson and anarchy &#8211; none of which leads to productive solutions to bona fide injustices and societal problems.
