The Guardian invents a new term for climate topics: climate-wrecking emissions. They’ve invented many new terms that were never used by scientists or policy makers. Trevor Jacob pretended to have an engine out failure in his light plane, jumping out by parachute as his plane gradually circled to impact into a hillside in a remote area. He then filmed his “harrowing” escape and hike out. He now admits the entire stunt was done for social media views and a promotional fee, and has pled guilty to charges. He may be sentenced to prison.

Most journalism in the U.S. today is “yellow journalism” that focuses on scandal, celebrity, “crisis”, the oppressed and fear and the prophets of doom – via scary headlines, and sample bias to cover stories that fit the yellow journalism narratives. Today, the most over used word in media is “crisis” – as you’ll see in this post, today, everything is a “crisis”.
More “Science and Health” reporters with no training in either science or health. One positions herself as an “AI expert”.
Tufekci disseminated significant disinformation throughout the Covid pandemic and was given a prominent platform to do so by the NY Times. Tufekci suggested that misinformation on social media should be censored. If she followed her own rules, the rules she seems to wish imposed on others by the technocratic elite like herself, she should deplatform herself immediately.
A legally deaf elderly woman missed a changed gate flight announcement, and after asking several gate agents for assistance, one calls the police. The police then arrest and handcuff her and take her to jail (in a wheelchair). In the jail, she is beaten by a jailer, her arm broken, and she is denied access to healthcare. 3 days later, she is released and undergoes surgery. The DA dropped all charges. Hopefully she sues the bastards back to the stone age. This, though, is why so many today are terrified of the police.
It’s time again for the annual “World’s Happiest Country” bull shit survey results. Using a survey that doesn’t measure happiness, the survey proclaims – every year – the same Nordic countries as the world’s happiest. That’s because the metrics they use define happiness as living in a Nordic country! But again, don’t measure anyone’s happiness. And every year, the media twits fall for this survey.

Reminder – a public opinion poll is a metric measuring the success or failure of a propaganda campaign, especially when the public is asked to have views on things they may know little about.
