66% of Americans own their own home, just below an all time high record. But reporters cannot read their own stories, let alone the data:

The story actually says 40% of those WHO DO NOT OWN A HOME think ownership is out of reach. This is not “Nearly half of Americans feel home ownership is impossible”.
