This <a href=\"http:\/\/studio.code.org\/s\/frozen\/stage\/1\/puzzle\/1\">example lesson<\/a> is based on MIT&#8217;s Scratch (which is similar to App Inventor).<\/p>\n<p>There are <a href=\"http:\/\/csedweek.org\/learn\">33\u00a0introductory tutorials<\/a> available for the &#8220;Hour of Code&#8221; project (teachers may optionally create their own as well).<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/appinventor.mit.edu\/explore\/hour-of-code.html\">One of the official tutorial opportunities is based on App Inventor<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Use caution in interpreting the hype over &#8220;Hour of Code&#8221;. It&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/lightbot.com\/hoclearn.html\">primitive introduction to some limited programming<\/a>\u00a0concepts; many of the tutorials have\u00a0limited association\u00a0with\u00a0<em>computer science<\/em>.
