National Geographic used public domain live NASA footage and then claimed that NGS had a copyright on NASA’s own footage. NGS then issued a copyright claim to Youtube resulting in NASA’s own footage being deleted from the Internet.
This particular public domain video was later restored to the public, but this happens a lot.

In 2018, National Geographic admitted to a century long program of racist reporting, from a racist organization, and “sexing” up stories to make other cultures look more exotic. Basically, a professional disinformation media outlet that ran for more than a century.
Separately, I caught them cherry picking data to prove a point – when the full data series was seen, the NGS had intentionally hidden data in order to lie and make the point they wanted. The NGS cannot be trusted.
