After a Stanford Assoicate Dean and Law School students verbally chased away a Federal Judge who had come to speak on campus, the Law School will now require mandatory training for all students on issues of free speech and the First Amendment.

  • Stanford Law Students did not understand the First Amendment and concepts of free speech.
  • Faculty will be trained on university rules concerning disrupted events and are expected to ensure protections for free speech.
  • Associate Dean Tirien Steinbach, who treated the Judge with disrespect is currently on leave. She spoke about the importance of “Free speech” while simultaneously preventing him from speaking.
