The server was down for a bit the prior day or two. The virtual server runs several wordpress blogs – one of which seems to have an intermittent problem where it basically swallows all of my allocated available resources (like memory, bandwidth). For now, I have taken the errant blog offline and will at some point, do a clean re-install and hope that fixes the problem. Some other things require my attention at the moment so do not yet know when that reinstall fix will be done.
Meanwhile, for reasons unknown, this blog saw a 10x increase in traffic yesterday. I have no idea why. Nothing sticks out in the internal metrics.
Jan 2, 2023: Have re-installed the software for the errant blog and it seems to be running okay for the moment.
