Batterimarkedet i Europa er i ferd med å ta av. Norge trenger å satse kraft, kroner og kompetanse for å bli med.

Norway intends to create a domestic EV battery manufacturing sector. The factories will, by themselves, increase electricity consumption by 7%, together with other increasing demands, will lead to a 7 TWh electricity deficit within 4 years. They do not – yet – have a plan for where the additional electricity will come from.

Meanwhile, back in the U.S., electric utilities throughout much of the country resorted to rolling blackouts as demand exceeded supply. This did not use to happen – and we need to ask why we should accept this as “the new normal”. It is, as some suggest, softening the public to accept that our future electrical grid will be unreliable and we are now being trained to accept rolling blackouts.
